GitGlance policies
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect to run the Evidence Desk, how public-source research is handled, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect your email, name, authentication identifiers, account preferences, role or hiring brief text, candidate identifiers, saved Evidence Reports, and product usage. We also receive billing identifiers such as Stripe customer, subscription, price, and payment status; Stripe handles payment card details.
Information from public sources
When you request an Evidence Check, GitGlance may retrieve public GitHub profile, repository, contribution, and related source information. We store the report context and links needed to show your saved research. We do not claim that public information is complete or current.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide and improve the Evidence Desk, enforce usage limits, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, maintain audit records, and communicate important service or policy changes. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and sharing
We use infrastructure, authentication, analytics, AI, and payment providers to operate the service. Stripe receives billing information needed to process charges and subscriptions. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not make candidate reports public by default.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and billing records for operational, security, accounting, and legal purposes. You may request account or report deletion by contacting support@gitglance.co; some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and billing purposes.
Security and choices
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service, but no system is risk-free. You can manage subscription renewal through Stripe, choose what role and candidate information to submit, and contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests.
Children and changes
GitGlance is not intended for children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the new effective date. Effective date: August 10, 2026.
