GitGlance policies

Terms of Service

These terms describe the Evidence Desk, how Evidence Checks work, and the responsibilities that come with using research assistance in a hiring workflow.

1. The service

GitGlance provides an Evidence Desk for researching public GitHub information against a role or hiring brief. One Evidence Check is intended to investigate one candidate against one role. Saved reports may be shared, compared, or reopened without consuming another check.

2. Evidence is decision support

GitGlance organizes publicly available signals and generated analysis. It does not verify a person's identity, make a hiring decision, provide legal or employment advice, or guarantee a candidate's skills, conduct, availability, or suitability. You remain responsible for lawful, fair, human-led decisions and for checking primary sources.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep account information accurate and protect your credentials. Do not use the service to harass, discriminate unlawfully, scrape at abusive rates, misrepresent GitGlance output as fact, or violate GitHub terms, privacy rights, employment laws, or other applicable law.

4. Plans, usage, and payment

Plans include the Evidence Checks shown at checkout. Usage is measured per completed candidate-and-role investigation. Paid add-on checks and administrator-gifted checks are tracked separately; gifted checks have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. Stripe processes payments and subscription management.

5. No refunds

All purchases and subscription charges are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law. We do not issue refunds for unused, gifted, expired, or partially used Evidence Checks. You may cancel a subscription through the Stripe billing portal; cancellation stops future renewal and does not reverse prior charges.

6. Public-source data and generated output

The service may retrieve information from public GitHub pages and other sources. Availability, accuracy, rate limits, and source content can change without notice. Generated summaries can be incomplete or wrong; review linked evidence before relying on it.

7. Ownership and availability

You retain rights in material you submit. GitGlance and its branding, software, templates, and service improvements remain our property. We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation or a particular result.

8. Suspension and changes

We may suspend access for abuse, security, non-payment, or legal reasons. We may change the service, plans, or these terms; material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
